In today’s lesson. I will show you how to create a text portrait in Photoshop. There’s many ways to create this effect. I will show you one of the easiest nondestructive ways to complete the effect. We’re going to be working with the displacement map, text tool – creating a typography image. We’ll also be using a few blending options and masks. Have fun creating!

I’ll start off showing how to cut out the model, convert the layer into a smart object, apply smart filters. Save the image as a displacement map. Create a typography/text layer to apply to the model. Add the displacement map to the text layer. Properly blend the model and text together.
